Billy lived on Woodburn on the Henr Clay side so I just got to know him in High School.  He played French Horn in the band and what I remember most are his great smile and friendliness and pretty good hown playing.

Kudos Betsy, very nicely stated about William!  I knew Bill from classes with him at Henry Clay, and even Cub Scouting too. Bill had a very wonderful smile that just lit up his whole face!  He was always so pleasant and cheerful, and I remember him laughing nearly all the time when I was with him at HC.  We miss you Billy and wish you could be with us especially now at the 50th Reunion!  Blessings Always!

Bill invited me over to his house one afternoon when his parents were out of town. He got into his dad's well stocked liquor cabinet and we proceeded to put it to good use while we played "Runaround Sue" by Dion over and over and over, enjoying it more each time as we 'progressed'.

I knew not to drive since I could barely walk and was walking home along Lake Drive. I needed to um...you know, drinking and all, and there was no restroom on Lake Drive, so I improvised...and WFB's finest noticed and, not surprisingly, took exception to my public activities. But, the cop was nice and impressed that I did not drive and took me home.

Every time I hear Runaround Sue I think of Bill and how he laughed when I described my going home!
