I would like to thank Eddie for saving my life in swim class, taught by Mr. Cross, and, as a guy who was always smiling.  He called me 'Peter Z' because I sat at the end of the row (bleacher) during roll call.

Eddie was a good friend beginning in High School. We hung out, laughed a lot and I watched him take a lot of pictures. We lived in the same rooming house in college--he had "The Pad" with all the bells and whistles. We both went off to law school and stayed in touch.  I miss his energy and his laugh.

I second Steve's observation about energy and fun

In eighth grade Eddie learned hypnosis. Ricky Weil, not yet known as "Dux," fell under his spell, and at Eddie's direction turned in a circle three times and gave Bobby Berg, not yet known as "Greb," a big kiss. All of those present have tried to duplicate this feat in one way or another since, entirely without success.

Eddie and I were pretty good friends in junior high; both of us would sometimes hang out for a bit with a big bunch of kids after Coach C.'s odd dance classes.  What was most endearing was his goofy sense of humor and his sweet smile.  In my mind he'll always remain that wonderful kid who was willing to do almost anything for a laugh.

I remember Eddie from Mr. Ahren's biology class. While I was struggling to bring myself to cut off the head of my fetal pig Murray, Eddie had already dissected out his pig's small intestine and was waving it arouned like a lasso.  It was gross then and it is gross now -- although funnier now.
